Re: Been awhile
Gus, I'm so sorry to hear about your loss! Pets, in my family, have
always been considered family members..just be glad that he lived a
good life, with you, then in his second home.
My sister and her husband also have plans to have the ashes of their
first pet, as a couple (a cat named Rufus, who lived for 21 years!)
buried with the first one of them to go. It seemed like an odd idea at
first..but I can certainly understand it.
So, good luck in your move, and maybe your new living situation will
allow you to open your heart and home to another pet-not as a
replacement for your dog, but a new companion in your new environment.
Again, I wish you the very best.
