Looking at it from a methemaitcal point of view..
if you "ponder the odds",  I would say that the
chances that we DON'T have "brothers and sisters
we never met someone in the universe" are SLIM
to REMOTE!.

Think of how many galexies there are,
How many stars there are in each galexy,
How many planets around all of those stars.

Then again, when you take a look at modern
physics, the big question is: "How many UNIVERSES
are there?"

Although the statistical possibility that they give
for live on any ONE given planet are extremely small,
the sheer numer of planets almost make it a
certainty that we are not alone.
