Amgen to start chronic kidney disease study



U.S. biotechnology company Amgen Inc. said on Sunday it will start a
large-scale drug study of its Sensipar/Mimpara drugs in chronic kidney
disease patients.

The late-stage, Phase 3, study will enroll 3,800 patients around the
world, Amgen said.

Amgen said enrollment in the study is expected to begin in the second
half of 2006.

Uhm, Like the phase 3 trials and the ultimate approval have already
taken place.  The drug is on the market and being prescribed now.  By
the way, it works  very well.
