Wouldn't self reporting be the most significant determinant of
what is life changing for that person? One might be an external observer
on looking in and conclude otherwise but would/should that matter to
that person? Asking the question "have you had a mystical/life changing
experience?" is pretty close to being on the same level as asking "are
you happy?"·

The study looked at a follow-up of two months, not "a few days"
--with further longer term follow-ups yet to be done at a later date

). This experiment is a "new and improved" (better overall experimental
design plus better verified measurement instruments) version of the Good
Friday experiment from decades ago which showed effects and perceptions
to be changed for many years.
