Re: Dialysis Cruises
I looked into dialysis on board ship the last cruise I was on, since my
son just went on dialysis and thought maybe he could go again. There is
a company from Largo Florida that does this, the name of it I think is
"Dialysis on Ship" I found that they charge $1500 to get the equipment
on board and 500. a treatment. Medicare does not cover that if it is a
cruise out of the UsA. Hope that helps,

Have a great day!!

Is this the same as Dialysis at Sea. Search for it on google.

They have a certified Nephrologist and a lab technician to manage the
hemo. They are basically a travel agency and get commissions, so your
whole family can book the cruise through them. They have so many slots
as there are only so many hemo machines and the amount of time it
takes. As a result you could a 7am slot for your hemo.

It is true that medicare wont cover it.

Re: Dialysis Cruises
Yes, it is dialysis at sea and it is a travel agent that gets a
commision. It definitely is not covered by Medicare, because you are
not covered if you are out of the states by Medicare. Now I can't say
the same for a secondary carrier like Blue Cross because whenwe found
out how much it cost, we didn't go any further. It may be a good thing
to find out about that.

Have a great day!!
