We all herd of Casey and how he lost the game

I'm hoping that my story will not end the same

I've tried out many lots in life and failed at every one

Mostly cause I didn't care and only wanted fun



Mariene biology, botany, philosophy, photography

Even music got the best of me

Failed at every turn, dropped out and lost my chance to learn

Had over 25 jobs in less than 10 years with only pennies I have earned



This crap is pedestrian, flavorless; void of content. ok it sucks let me
start over



Life, in cruel symbols, mutilates imagination

Savior, American idol void of connotation

But our satisfy is fed by this dullard inspiration

Satisfied on sugar water full lack of mental nutrition

I was talking about Casey right? Ok, ok, ok



I'll try again



Man runs his race with intent on success

He takes long strides, head high, and puffed out chest

He leads the pack and hits his first mark with pride in his eyes

He knows he will win, no doubt, for sure to him this is no lie



His mind rolls back to earlier days of training for this race

How he had no strength, knowledge of motion, style or grace

His teachers taught him well as they struggled night and day

Angry, tired, painful, sore the prices that he must pay



Man hits his next mark with one to go he knows he's near the end

In the crowd stand familiar faces, with chants of motivation from his
friends

His boy Joe hands him a Gatorade and power bar as a snack

Man has no fear of losing the closes guy is 5 yards back



Inches from the finish line and victory he can taste

Pulls a muscle, craps himself, and falls atop his face

Well last place isn't bad the reassurance of his friend

I'll take 6 months, train even harder and yes I'll try again
