Its in clinical trails (Phase III I think) and is available in Europe
currently..aurapharm.com ships
it to the USA but its not that cheap yet. Doses range from 75mg-225mg.

That drug potently increases 5HT and Norepinephrine at more balanced levels
than Effexor or Cymbalta. Its also supposed to be useful for FMS and pain.
When
it comes out and if my insurance covers it, I will definitely try it out.
Right now
the only drug that improves my mood and works for my nasty headaches is
Tramadol.
But I don't take it becauseI don't want to add it to my Remeron and Pamelor
as the combo
may be dangerous.

Here's some info from the manufacturer Jamie
http://www.cypressbio.com/products/..ipranPhase3.php
According to the info..its going to the FDA in 2006..so maybe by 2007 it
will be available
in the US.

I heard one person claim it doesn't have negative sexual side
effects. It's hard for me to believe that (since it's in the same
category, SNRI, as Effexor and Cymbalta), but perhaps it is less prone
to causing them. That would certainly be appreciated!

That person must have been me :-)

I've tried Milnacipran 3 times already and never had any problems with
sexual side effects. Sexual side effects aren't even listed in the
prescribing information leaflet, so for people who don't tolerate sexual
dysfunction, Milnacipran is worth a try. It is also generally much
better tolerable than Effexor.

First time I tried it, it worked very slightly. Second time, nothing.
Third time also no effect. But on the other hand, nothing works for
me..

I am in a trial. It works wonders. One person said they had tried it thre e times and it did not help. It takes about three weeks to completely take effect. I just wish I could find something that worked as well on my Inters titial cystitis and chronic gastritis. LHS
