Hey Joey,

Listened to some of your MP3's. Especially liked the solo on Joe's
blues. I am an amateur jazz guitar player. My favorites are John
McLaughlin and Joe Pass. Though lately I have been listening to the
gypsies like Raphael Fays and Bireli Lagrene. I have a pal and we get
together every other week or so and play standards. Rarely play
anything written after 1955 though.

Most of the music on the WEB sounded a bit old. Have you been
composing lately?

Thanks Stu.

That covers a lot of stylistical ground, right there! <g>
Sounds like you like it all. Good for you.

Do you know about rec.music.makers.guitar.jazz?
Stop by some time.

Very true.
I guess the most recent recording of me that is available is the CD I
did with John MacMurchy. There's a link somewhere within my web pages.
John's a few small clips up at his site. But even that's been about 3
years ago now.

About 2 months ago I played on 6 or 7 tunes with this semi-pro singer
for her CD release. It's just guitar and voice. I've since had a falling
out with her and I don't know what will become of those tracks. Her name
is Nadia Petra. If it gets released I played pretty good for
unaccompanied guitar, I thought. That's about the hardest thing to do on
guitar IMO, at least to keep it interesting it is. I don't do it very
much because it's so hard, which directly relates to my falling out with
Nadia. She wanted me to work much harder than I was willing to for the
money involved.

I put being a leader on hold after releasing my 1993 CD. Too much work
(I guess I must seem a little lazy to you by this point <g> ), too little rew
ard.
But I do intend to do some recording sometime in the
not-too-distant-future. Just can't say when that will be. I've got a new
sketch of about 12 bars at present. We'll see how that works out. But I
haven't been writing at all for many years now. Just practicing,
teaching, and gigging (as a sideman).

Thanks for your interest.
