Naga Pranayama
Naga means serpent in Sanskrit. This pranayama is a purification
technique and advisable to practise before any cycle of pranayama for
regeneration.
To do NAGA PRANAYAMA we sit in vajrasana and inhale deeply through the
nose. And we hold the breath for a period of ten seconds. Then we take
another inhalation and hold the breath again for ten seconds.Afterwards
we exhale slowly through the mouth.
After repeating this process three times we have to lie on the back and
relax totally (that is in shavasana posture).
This is a very powerful Kumbhaka and it should not be practised by
persons with weak lungs, bronchial problems or a weak heard.
