Yoga and weight lifting
I have been doing yoga on and off for about 3 years now and about a
year ago I added weight lifting as well. I lift weights for for about
six weeks then I have to stop because I just feel so uncomfortable
and stiff, I stretch after every workout but I still feel very bulky.
I was a ballet teacher for many years so I understand the importance
of stretching the muscles, I just feel like I never get a good full
stretch in while I am lifting weights, this is why I always go back
to yoga I love how it makes me feel I have a small frame and tend to
be on the thin side, even though yoga doesn't give me a whole lot of
muscle definition it seems to ease tension and make me feel very
flexable. Has anyone experienced anything like this, (the feeling of
being bulky). I want to prevent osteoprosis that is why I started to
lift weights in the first place but it makes me feel awful, will yoga
be enough to help prevent this.
Any advice would be appreciated
