escapism in indian thought
read the writings of the old indian masters.
they are afraid of life. of thought. of women. of responsibility. of
mortality.
that is why they love stuff like stopping of thoughts. they are afraid
of the world. they want a sanctuary of bliss. they don't want to
return. nirvana!
they'll do anything for a one way ticket.
if this really is a joke, then why be afraid to play your part?
at the root of all this is a deep dissatisfaction. not satisfied here
and now they invent all kind of myths, or pure land, or swarga, of
vaikuntha, and then of permanent cessation of life itself.
do you see that there is no delight in the teachings? even the
squirrel is delighted in being a squirrel.
better a happy buffoon than a frustrated yogi be.
