I heard about this treatment for weight loss on a local radio station.
I did some research on the web and decided to try it.  I took my
mother, who is overweight and has smoked for 40 years, even though she
had a mild stroke last year, continues to smoke.  She got two staples,
one for smoking cessation (a staple in the "lung" area of the ear and
one for weight loss, like me, in the "stomach" area of the ear.  It
hurt somewhat when he did it, and after, my stomach feeling like it was
growling, then stopped.  Though I haven't eaten since lunch and it is
now 6:30, I do not feel hungry.  I am about to go out to dinner, so we
will see what happens.  I want to lose about 30 lbs and will report my
progress here.
I am curious about others who have tried this for either smoking or
weight loss.  What has your experience been?  I did it mainly because I
hope it will help my mother quit smoking, and I figure it is akin to
acupuncture, and the chinese have been using that successfully for
thousands of years.  Please share your experiences with me.
