| My husband was diagnosed in 2001 not ready for dialysis. he had 2000
lbs of steel fall on his head to sholder hand and then landed on his
foot.<-he was a strong man, good mannered great looking guy like allen
jackson!>this accident threw him into failure quickly I dont remember
the time line but it was a shock.his head engery wasnt detected. too
late -never treated by the work comp doctors
after all he is my soul mate!took two BAD marriages to get him.
he had had diabeties when he was 20.he is now 40.
was put in the hospital and had to have emergency dialysis aldal
emplant and fistula.started dialysis.sick all the time had to quit
work. tryed peritineal dialysis almost died.wasput on the insulyn pump
almost killed him. his sugar went to 1000.he was depresed much of the
time.it was like I already lost him!he just wasnt the same. 911 calls
almost died much of them low sugar, high sugar.neuropothy, stomac
problems, toe amputies, he is emputaint .nothing helped that.he was put
on the transplant list and then taken off because of his noncompliance.
I get really depressed, drank too much _to escape.any way Im sure you
understand.
I had no choice but to give up and turn to God! couldnt funcion.always
looking for the worst things to happen! 3 years has passed he told me
he was gonna die really soon,I didnt know what to say. I Prayed and and
the next day my son and his girlfriend told me she was pregnant! he was
19 I told him and in a few days he was some better.they get married
had the baby! a girl. I had 2 boys. Man what a life change.the baby is
now 17 mo. And she took (our)his heart!!!!! now he feels so much
better.still bad. all the problems are still there.He still gets
depressed and feels bad but its not totaly grim anymore. this little
person changed all of our lives.
I have said all this -to say- find a hobby,get busy doing something
that you enjoy, be around positive people change you suroundings when
you are depressed! get envolved. research.get meds to help,you and your
loved one.dont overlook youre spouce feelings because I felt lost and
like a nurse maid instead of a wife!I no passion. did have a nerveous
break down. im ok now it got his attention his family helps me and
spends more time with him gives me a break and helps him as well as his
family.this disease is not fair .It is up to you how well you take care
of youre self and the family. PRAY give it to GOD!
