Since Jason still keeps refusing to accepts his shortfall of giving people
medical advice on the Internet I have attached a post of his from the
sci.med ng. I told him I was going to post this if he rebutted me again,
but he still can't keep his damn mouth shut, and keeps defending his
stupidity.

This is just one example. I suggest you read it and then decide if you want
to take medical advice from this "wanna be doctor" (as another person has
called him).

Here it is -

walk. What can I do to prevent this from happening again on my next
cruise?
Thanks!

It's my guess that you have EDEMA. It's also called:
orthostatic hypotension
postural hypotension

I am not a doctor but have done some research on edema and found out there
are several causes for it so you should ask your doctor to figure out the
cause of your case of edema. I also have edema and in my case, I believe
that it is caused by kidney problems. You may want to do a google search
on the terms mentioned above.

Here is what doctor Howard McCollister wrote him back (as you can see this
sort of thing has happened before).

[[No, Jason...this is what I'm talking about.

EDEMA is in no way related to orthostatic or postural hypotension.

HMc]]

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now, Jason...I suggest you keep your mouth shut, or I will post some of the
rest of thread where several people were ridiculing you for your ignorance.

Jason, you said you were going to stop giving people medical advice and
stick to just reporting your personal experiences (I can post that too if
you want). I suggested this to you a while back and you agreed to do that.
But you are still back to your old tricks, except in this ng, since you are
were effectively shamed out of the sci.med group.

Now are you going to stop giving people medical advice, or do you just say
things and not mean them.

What's your problem?

The first sentence in Jason's post, which you thankfully included, is
"I am not a doctor but ... ".

Isn't that enough info for you to realize that he's only offering his
opinion; and that he's not forcing his opnion on anyone?

Believe it or not, many people on the ng's are only marginally
computer-literate and appreciate it when somebody even just does a
google search for them and provides pertinent info from that.

Do you realize that if only doctors should post advice as you seem to
insist, that this ng would probably have 95% less content?

You don't know what you are talking about. I hate doctors. You need to
follow Jason's history (and read my other posts) and his sick obsession that
he has.

Hello,
Thanks for your excellent post and support. You are 100% correct

Jason...you are a total XXXXing XXXXXXX and the person was too dumb to
realize that what you said was WRONG and bad advice (he snipped the part
where doctor McCollister chastised you for saying edema was the same thing
as postural or orthostatic hypertension (IT IS NOT). You are a dangerous
person Jason and I have said over and over that just because you say you are
not a doctor, that does not give you the right to give bad and possibly
harmful medical advice over the internet. Like I told you just relay your
personal experiences, but do not give the bogus advice you always give. You
said you were going to do this but have lied.

Jason...the next time I catch you giving bad or false medical advice I will
be all over you like stink on a skunk. You have been effectively evicted
from the sci.med ng because of your bullshit. The only reason Marcia talked
to you recently (and you were too dumb to realize she was playing with
you), is because she feels sorry for you.

Actually it does give him the right. Whether or not it is appropriate
is another matter. Furthermore, the onus is on the individual asking
the question as to whether or not he or she should confirm any opnions
given by Jason. This is a forum and you would be better off debating
these issues on this forum rather than berating the Jason.

Not relevant to alt.support.kidney-failure. Why are you bringing it
here? Follow up your personal conflict with him privately. We're not
interested in your arguments here.

[SNIP unpleasant bonkers rant]

Geez, lad, you need to get a life, relax a bit and
prowl in another NG.

As others have said, noone here is interested in your personnal
(huge) problems. You´re on your way to plonk-land where your
screams will be heard by ... noone.
Also, we´re adult enough to distinguish betwee a usenet post
and a doctor´s advise.
