| She will most likly be started primarily on Haemodialysis Haemodialysis
is 'cleaning of the blood' in simple terms. There are other types of
dialysis. Thrice weekly ( it may be more initially) is the usual
routine, usually for 3 and a half to for hours.
If she has some kidney function it may be less.

They also have leaflets on diet and fluid restrictions etc.
Whatch out for NHS hospital transport. I wouldn't advise or accept it if
it was my mother in this situalion
