Hi,

My creatinine was stable at 250 for a bit and then in a month it went
up to 295? I have an appointment next week but the nurse said not to
worry, my question is, is that jump a bit large and can that be due to
a kidney infection?

For the last week, i've lost my appetite, and have sever fatigue .

Any advice would help.

I 'm just too young to have to go on dialysis i'm just 21.

Thank you

Hello,
The best thing to do is to remain calm until you find out. If you have
copies of your last several blood tests and urine tests, you may want to
read the following book:
COPING WITH KIDNEY DISEASE--A 12 STEP PROGRAM TO HELP YOU AVOID DIALYSIS
by MacKenzie Walser, M.D. (professor, Johns Hopkins University)

Are you taking any medications such as statins? If so, you should call
your doctor and ask the doctor whether or not those medications can cause
an increase in your creatinine level. You may want to google or do a
medline search for the term "anemia". After you get the book mentioned
above, look up these terms in the index "anemia" , "fatique" . Also, read
pages 46-51. You will need to have your latest blood test with you while
reading those pages. I am not a doctor.
