In autumn of 2004 I was taken in to hospital for a month with kidney
failure. Both kidneys working less than 10%.
Again in Spring 2005 I had a repeat session. I have an ileostomy (done 12
years ago and re-sited 2 further times). They say that the kidney problem
stems from a pill I was on for high BP and also malabsorbtion because of the
stoma. Things are reasonably regulated now, although I need to drink a
minimum of 2 litres of fluid per day and also take sodium phosphate to slow
the output of the stoma.
Is there anyone else there, who has similar condition? I would appreciate
talking.
Thanks
Brian
