Hello,
any body know any thing about mild hydronephrosis after transplant in
transplanted kidney my doctor says it's normal. little knowledge about this
will be very helpful.

Hi Niren,

The link below has some info on post-transplant hydronephrosis. It says
the most common cause is ischaemic injury (ie: inadequate blood supply)
and rejection leading to fibrosis (ie: scar tissue) and stricture (ie:
narrowing of the ureter).

This patient had the blocked part of the ureter surgically removed to
solve the problem. I don't know how often this is done to as a remedy.

PS. I don't have a medical background so I could be completely wrong.
I'm just giving you my interpretation of the study and other things I
read on the net.
