| My father is 86 and was found to have only one kidney working at 10% in
early February. Dialysis was started immediately going 3 times a week..
He still does urinate a little.
The doctor had given him no more than 6 months if he didn't go on
dialysis. The decision has been made to remove Dad from dialysis as he
also has congestive heart failure and now is losing the ability to even
maneuver on his own. My question is how long would Dad last once the
dialysis is stopped.
Thank you in advance for any info.

Around two weeks. Is this what your dad wants?

| Yes, my Dad says he is tired and can't fight anymore.
Thanks for your oncern.

| Due to my kidneys not working and being misdiagnosed initially I almost died
myself from congestive heart failure. This is not something I would want
anyone to ever go through but if it's his wish then please get hospice
involved and make sure he is comfortable.
