2 stones in my kidney/bladder

| I have 2 stones. one (0.7 cm) is in the kidney and the other (0.5 cm) is
close to the opening of the bladder and is the one causing problems ( blood
in urine , pain). I've been drinking quite a lot of water for the last 3 or
4 days, the blood is stopped but I couldnt see any stone coming out. Whats
the size of the urinary tract? can a .5 cm stone get out easily without
pain? The doc. said the bigger one in the kidney should not be of much
concern. (people carry such stones all life ). Is he right? Are there any
medicines that help the stone get out?

The stones will pass on their own. There are no medicines to get them
out more quickly, though beer* is a folk medicine way of getting them to
pass. It can take a couple of weeks for a stone to pass.
Your doctor is right; neither stone is big enough to do you any harm,
and that there is no visible blood is no cause for concern. Those stones
are very small (I know, they probably feel a lot bigger!) and it is
possible that they have already passed. You can get a small strainer
from your urologist and strain your urine to catch your stones, if you
wish.
Just because they're small doesn't mean they can't hurt like hell. They
can (some don't, though, so don't worry if you're not in pain - just
count your blessings). If you have pain that isn't being controlled, be
sure to tell your doctor - they know stones hurt and will prescribe
something to help.
*I'm not recommending beer, and besides, I'm just an anonymous person on
the net with chronic kidney stones and you shouldn't try anything you
read on the net without checking with a professional first.
