| DENIS' FUTURE DEPENDS UPON 55,000 EURO.
An ill child is undescribable feeling for any mother. This is about the
strong mother which is fighting for the life of her only son. She doesn't
have permanent job, doesn't have her own appartment, doesn't have the
relatives who could help her son. A tragedy hasn't broken the weak woman.
In 2000 Denis had usual kind of a flu. That time he used to live with his
Grandparents in Russia. He studied at a college. Could anybody think about
that "usual" flu will open the "black" page in the life of the family?
Denis was pining away with the illness before their very eyes. The parents
of Tatiana let her know that her child was ill. The kidneys were conking
out, they added. The mother was understanding nothing. She came to
Russia.
She spent a long month with hopes in a clinic next to the bed of her son.
The diagnosis was Chronic kidneys' deficiency. The result was Denis became
an invalid.
Tatiana is a teacher by profession. She has been working as a teacher for
many years. She had never had any trouble. She had loving husband, good
job, good son and good parents. All that was stopped suddenly. Her husband
deserted the family. Denis was in reanimation clinic for six times. He was
saved and still alive by a miracle. An organism of the young boy was
fighting against Death and was winning. Denis received 600 gramms of blood
in order to the content of haemoglobin in his blood was increased, which
was on critical lowest point.Plenty of money was spent for medicines.
Now, according to Tatiana, the Government pays disability pension to her
son. It is 99 Hrivnya ($18) per month plus they had social help. It is 43
Hrivnya($8) per month. That was only monthly profit of the family. The
mother can't work permanently because Denis needs to be looked after. She
needs to take Denis to the clinic each time herself because the Police
often mixes up such ill people with drug-users. Denis hasn't got any safe
vein on his arms. Three times a week he has his veins punctured. The
father of Tatiana couldn't handle the tragedy and died. The mother of
Tatiana is seriously ill. So now Tatiana and her son have no real support.
Denis is talented boy. He writes poems and music, he playes piano. He would
to restore his health and to go on his education.
This world has kind people. They had helped Tatiana. It was time when
Denis' life could be stopped. He needed urgently to be linked to apparatus
"Artificial kidney". In Ukraine this service is free of charge but in order
to get it you need to wait because there is a long queue. Or you can get it
without of queue for huge money. That time The Father of Kiev's Church
helped Tatiana. He telephoned to Minister of Health Department. Because of
that Denis still alive. Tatiana met corruption and she was disappointed in
Ukrainian Health organization. Denis' kidneys were partly restored and
doctors didn't want to make haemodialysis three times. Now Denis feels bad
without the apparatus "Artificial kidney". He has his blood pressure
sometimes high, sometimes low. He feels sick and has horrible headaches.
Usually the apparatus "Artificial kidney" can help for the first period of
time only. It doesn't solve the problem. Denis needs donor's kidney. The
transplantation costs a lot of money.
Tatiana says, I received a reply from Hamburg. The cost of such operation
is 55,000 Euro. I am sure in professionalism of Ukrainian doctors but I do
not trust them. The mother is ready to give her kidney i.e. she is ready to
become a donor. But is it really possible in a country which is in the list
of the most corrupted countries of the world year after year? Where is the
guaranty that there is no corruption in the Medical field? Nobody knows
how will Denis be feeling during the after-operation period. He will need
to take a lot of expensive medicines. And where is the guaranty that the
Government will support Denis with it?
The only way for Denis is operation abroad. We all are living under The
God. There are no unsolvable problems in our life. Let's help Denis
together to collect the money for the operation. The operation could be
done in Hamburg, in clinic Ependorff. It costs 55,000 Euro. There is high
possibility that the boy will be back to normal life.
