I would have thought that logic would prevail.
If you are trying to sell something, surely that means you needs money...
Nothing is ridiculous when the need is great enough. However, I can
understand why you have the "perception" as to why it is a ridiculous
notion.

| Because they're idiots..that seems hardly a leap for me. And as far as the
other poster claims, if they need the money, surely there are better ways to
get it.

| Its ridiculous simply because in most places in the world it is illegal and
also most people on the waiting list don't have the sort of money that these
kidney "sellers" expect to receive.

If 3% of the world's population own 99% of the world's wealth, then you can
bet that of the thousands of people who require organ transplants, that
there will be takers.
When there is the need and the money, options avail themselves.
I don't know the true statistics of the proportion of the world's population
Vs the World's wealth but I think its very close to the facts above.
