Diabetes and Transplant Question

| Hi All! Well, I've survived my transplant!
Had surgery on Monday and got home yesterday... it's all about what I
had expected at this point, so not too many surprises.
Anyway I'm starting to look at lower sugar options for food so I can
start keeping an eye on my blood sugar BEFORE it becomes an issue from
the meds.
So what are some substitutions I can make that don't taste too bad?
Jams and jellies or things like that? Where I won't notice too much?
(Example: I cant eat low-fat cream cheese because it isn't close
enough to the real thing to be worth it)
Make sense?
But this time, I'm looking at sugar content more than fat content.

Lizz,
Stop looking for subs, enjoy a a normal life now and eat anything you wish.

| The best advice I can give you is what my doctor told me. Eat what ever you
want "but do so in moderation". I'm sure you will be getting labs done
monthly for quite a while and the doctor will talk to you about how your
meds are affecting your body and what you can do to get things to a normal
level.
If your sugar & cholesterol start to climb your labs will show it and I'm
sure you doc will have you talk to a dietician.
