Hi y'all,

In case any of you don't know about these, I thought you might find
them helpful:

-- LIFE OPTIONS (http://www.lifeoptions.org) - this program is
dedicated to helping people live long and live well with kidney
disease. The website has a lot of free resources (videos, audiotapes,
booklets) that can be ordered or downloaded on topics like exercise,
employment, etc.

-- KIDNEY SCHOOL (http://www.kidneyschool.org) - offered by Life
Options, Kidney School is a free, interactive, on-line kidney learning
center with 16 30-minute modules on topics that include how kidneys
work, treatment options, working with your care team, following your
treatment plan, coping with kidney disease, anemia, understanding
kidney lab tests, vascular access, nutrition and fluids, getting
adequate dialysis, sexuality and fertility, staying active, heart
health and blood pressure, and patient responsibilities and rights.
The first 8 modules can be downloaded as pdfs. (We're working on the
rest!)

-- HOME DIALYSIS CENTRAL (http://www.homedialysis.org) - brand new
site gathers information about 5 types of dialysis that can be done at
home (peritoneal dialysis and home hemo). Find a clinic that offers
home treatment, contact your legislator to support home dialysis, read
patient stories, see home dialysis equipment, and check out the
message boards.
