| Hi all ~
Well as of today I know when the tests will take place.
The repeat EMG will be this Friday at 8:30 AM, followed by the
pre-surgery testing: blood work, EKG and chest x-ray.
The muscle biopsy will be next Friday at 7:30 AM. Since I have to be at
the hospital two hours before the surgery, there will not be a whole
lot of sleeping going on next Thursday!
The will be doing an 'open' biopsy, the theory being that this will
allow them to take more tissue than a needle biopsy. I have no idea how
long it will take to get the results, but at least (hopefully) this
will be the end of the line in finding a diagnosis.
Then ~ on to treatment ... hope springs eternal!
Wish me luck ... and if anyone has any sanity they can spare, feel free
to send it this way. I have about lost mine!
