| Hello,
My Dad, 83 y/o, suffers from extremely painful "shooting pains". They
tend to occur in one area of the body for a day, several days, or a few
weeks (e.g. thigh, rib/trunk, top of skull, tricep). Sometimes resolve
with Tylenol, but not always. Can't take Advil due to being on Coumadin.
He's also on Lipitor. The cardiologist checked him out and says he
"looks great" to him. They have increased in frequency recently and have
become more difficult for him to tolerate. The cardiologist described
them as "neuralgia-like" pains.
Has anyone encountered anything like this? How have you dealt with them?
Thanks!
Larry E.
