Whats wrong with me?

Hi, I had a sleep test done recently which was normal. Now I am back to
square one as to why it seems I am dreaming all night long, not bad
dreams but very entertaining, but ussually I wake up exhausted, and
end up getting sleepy during the day, sometimes when reading. This is
nothing new I have pretty much been like this since a kid. I have also
had problems focusing and concentrating so school had become a problem
also by second or third grade although I hid the problem pretty good.
Symptoms ....
are very deep sleep with lots of vivid dreams, ussually fall asleep and
start dreaming as my head hits the pillow, sleep like a baby and wake
up coming out of a dream, but most of the time not totally refreshed.
Problems remembering names, words, details and focusing on conversations.
Problems with depression and hopleness, may be caused by the above
symptoms or maybe the depression causes the above symptoms.
Since the sleeptest is normal the Dco said a neurological workup should
be done next.
Anyone familiar with my symtoms?

I think i know what you mean. I have incredible dreams all the time and
have done some tests done in case i had some kind of tumour.. but nothing
has been found. I had read that regular dreaming was caused by emotional
issues - but I do not live a sad or highly charged existence.. I do sleep
long hours and wake very tired, usualy as I am coming out of some
spectacular dream... It almost seems like my dreaming life is longer, more
dense and much more exciting than my waking life...
I want to avoid drugs though - doctors dont know what is going on with
themselves let alone with anyone else - so I guess I am in a similar boat..
<wondering what to do>
<smiling in hope and general satisfaction>
