Hi All,

Anyone ever notice how when you have a tickle in the throat (or the
area around the tonsils at the back of the mouth), it feels like as if
though the itch is deep in the ear? Or you might have gotten some
water into the ear and it feels like you're swallowing drops of water?
Those who suffer hay fever might know what I'm talking about. So,
I'm wondering if the sensory receptors deep in the ear and those in
the throat (or around the tonsils) synapse onto the same cranial
nerves? Why is it so difficult to distinguish and ear itch from one
that's occuring at the back of the mouth?
