FWIIW I just had another adjustment of my shunt's check valve. I would like
to hear of similar experiences.

I started noticing improvement at a setting of 80 mm of water. The next
adjustment was down to 50 mm. My gait disturbance from hydrocephalus seems
to have gone away. I still have residual problems from peripheral
neuropathy.

I did, however, start to get more severe syptoms of orthostatic hypotension
and headaches whenever I was upright. Bed was fine. Naps helped.

Yesterday, my neurosurgeon seemed to think that he had gone too far in
reducing the presssure setting. He cranked the pressure setting back up to
70 mm. He is hoping to get a good balance between gait improvement and
avoiding head hypotension. If I go by today, I have great improvement "in my
head" while still being able to walk well.
