Wow we didnt know you got lasik about 3 months ago! I was wondering why
you didnt post here anymore and one of my friends said maybe you got
lasik with bad results and was too ashamed to discuss it. He was right
about the lasik, but wrong about the results. Do tell us about your
lasik! What was your prescription in each eye just prior to lasik and
how long has that prescription been stable(must be at least a year)
Its highly unusual you dont know one person in real life with bad
lasik. I know a handful in real life and they *all* have some sort of
problem. I know hundreds on the internet and at least 25% of those have
problems(that they admit) Did you get specific and ask about their
night vision, their dry eyes, if they saw a clear, crisp 20/20?
You must have poked your eye with the tip of the frame. Im sure it
happens to all, just gotta be careful Could you have just stuck with
contacts? You didnt seem to have any problems with them except losing
them, cheap to replace anyway. What about keep doing NVI to get closer
to plano? Did you "max" out and stop seeing improvement at some point?
I know you used to be around -4!
You will need readers if you are plano in both eyes around the age 40.
Your near vision may have decreased after lasik and you find that you
cant focus so close anymore. You chose distance over near.
NVI *did* work for you, it didnt get you to plano, but got you a long
way. We have talked about this months ago and you were on the fence,
unsure about lasik, not convinced of the long term complications. What
changed your mind 3 months ago? Were you worried about the risks? How
would you have dealt with any complications?
