Its impossible to stop people from getting lasik. What can be done is
fully inform the person *before* lasik is done. 95% of people will
decide against lasik and wait for something better if they are informed
about *everything* there is to know about the risks and dangers of
lasik. There will be *new* info about lasik in the future, especially
regarding long term complications. Surgeons *want* to downplay the
problems so they can get your money
