I can do without the rudeness. If people ask if I had orthoK, I never
had the commonly used RGP orthoK. I do know about orthoK from what ive
read online. I know more about vision than you think!

Well, I_still_have some accomodation, about as good as that of a 35
year old. I see no reason to leave my glasses on for reading, they are
worse than useless for near, they will cause pseudomyopia, possible
increase in axial myopia, eyestrain, headaches.
> No Ace , they (the myopics) don't see much better and I don't believe a

Yes they do. I can see fine print up close and text is razor sharp and
black. There is a big difference in the clarity from up close for
myopes. Even my emmetropic friends cant see anywhere as good from up
close as I can. My sister's friend is 19 and she says text starts to
blur at less than a foot away. I_could_read with my full power glasses
on, but I have to strain to focus on text so it doesnt have the double
effect and doesnt blur much. This is why minus glasses are worse than
useless for near for myopes. I have tried full power contact lenses and
wasnt happy with the difficulty seeing up close with them. I would not
be happy with a full correction of myopia except for distance. When I
get orthoK, some myopia will be left(not that orthoK can fully correct
me anyway and I dont care) The slight myopia left will mean ill only
need glasses for driving and I am fine with this.

If this becomes so much of a problem, I will experment with bifocals
and progressives. OrthoK will solve this problem and ill only need
glasses for driving. Thats why I can benefit alot from orthoK, it will
put me in focus at computer distance and still retain enough myopia to
see clear from near. I wont ever need reading glasses and its staying
that way. Another good reason not to get lasik or anything that
permanently corrects myopia. OrthoK is reversable
