It is true lasik enables you to see with your own natural cornea and
eye without the aid of optical devices, in other words, lasik improves
UCVA. I have been informed by over a dozen people the reason for
decreased BCVA and quality of vision is because lasik induces high
order aberrations and distortions in your cornea. I have also seen
proof of this. I am linking you. Science speaks.

The post below is what someone has to say after lasik damaged her
eyes............

Ghosing from not fully corrected regular astigmatism? Regular
astigmatism,
the kind people can
have lots of naturally, does NOT cause ghosting!
People with healthy virgin eyes do NOT have ghosting! Ghosting is
caused by a serious corneal distortion... the kind you get from eye
disease,
an eye injury,
or an encounter with a corneal refractive surgeon and his laser.

Something not heard from patients with healthy eyes who have not had
corneal
refractive surgery:
"Man, my ghosting is terrible!"

Another myth marketed to patients to sell laser eye surgery is that
patients
have natural
higher order aberrations that can be treated, and need to be treated
with a
laser. Corneal
refractive surgery, with very rare exceptions, *induces* corneal
distortions
in patients.

************This is why refractive surgeons cannot claim that their
surgey will give you
better vision than
you had before surgery with glasses and contacts.*************(read
this Tom)

Some people may feel that their contrast sensitivity has improved after

LASIK, but if objective
measurements are taken... this would be unlikely. Especially if the
procedure in question involved
creation of a flap.

Before LASIK I used to wear sunglasses now and then. After a while I
would
forget I was wearing them and adjust to the decreased
level of light entering my eyes. But when the sun started to set... I
noticed I couldn't see. Corneal refractive surgery
causes permanently dim vision in patients. It's like a bad pair of
glasses
you can never take off.
