Try this link http://allexperienced.com/lasik/lasik.html , good info
for those new and considering LASIK surgery. Read this first on what it
is about and the procedures to expect.

Looks like this site is a big advertisement. Don't waste your time.
Medical Ads without listing complications/ Isn't that a big no-no?

Hey "flappie", ads do not have to list complications, that's what the
consultations and consent forms are for. So, no, it's not a big no-no.

That entire site is only 8 sentences. Just how much detail do you
expect them to cover in 8 sentences? To mention any complications
about LASIK in such a short amount of text would be like doing a one
page report on the history of comedy and devoting a paragraph to the
life of Pauly Shore.

Well..I have found that consultants in general never bring up anything
that isn't happy happy.. however. with LASIK, there isn't much that
isn't happy happy.
Frankly.. almost no patient knows enough about eyes to understand what
they are told about the procedure anyway. It is kind of like a 4
year old child asking how a plane flies and daddy trying to explain
physics to the kid. Quite a few people's intelligence is just
sufficent for them to be able to eat, wipe their bum, talk, and become
a cop. Beyond that.. one can be considered advanced in their
thinking. If someone manages to flush the toilet over 90% of the
time, they can qualify for Mensa.

BTW.. without mentioning the idiots name. Remember the one nut that
used to post here who would constantly declare he was a member of
Mensa? These days he gets his meals in a soup kitchen. You know who
I mean. Perhaps the Mensa he was referring to was the union of men's
room attendants.

Youll be supprised to learn that my IQ has been measured at ~130
depending on the IQ test I take. Im far from a genius and I wouldnt
really consider myself gifted, just above average and I dont brag. Im
far from "retard" and I know all about the risks of lasik but am still
learning new facts. When/if lasik undergoes a revolution where everyone
ends up with much better vision than glasses and the risks are much
less, the anti-lasik crowd will shrink, some of those damaged by lasik
will have another go at it. I remember when RK and ALK was out, almost
everyone was against it and saying forget it or wait for laser
technology. There are still some that say wait for something better and
safer than lasik to come out. If my eyes arent bad under cycloplegia,
there really wont be much to wait for as ill be quite functional
without glasses if im really only a -2.

I would kiss Sandy Keller's XXX if you ever got a 130 on an IQ test.
What IQ test was that? In Highlights magazine?
I don't know my own IQ.. I know many people whom I've gone to school
with who supposedly have similar IQs.. but whom I don't think much of.
I was in a special program for smartasses in my junior and senior year
of high school which required a minimum IQ of 140... and I won special
recognition at the awards ceremony both years.. which only 3 of the
other 80 smartasses got.. So I assume my IQ must be pretty high.. but
again.. that is just a number like 20/20.
My biggest fault has been that I trust people too much and count on
them to do things.. which they never do. Thanks to Keller, I now
realize how worthless many people are, and I am revising how I deal
with people.

You are helpful too. You are so obviously wrong so consistently that
you have made the malcontents all look like idiots. You still annoy
me though. I should thank you for being such an idiot.

My IQ tests were online ones. I should get 120+ easily on a pencil and
paper IQ test and 135+ if I study and use the tips for passing an IQ
test. But who cares, I already know im intellegent and good at logic.
You are always blaming others for being wrong but dont you ever stop
and think maybe its you that are wrong half the time?

If studying and swotting for an IQ test improves your score then the
test is a bad test. IQ is not measured by the ability to remember facts
and figures it is normally a function of how many and how detailed a
concept can be held in the head at once. Do you guys have mensa
stateside? Their tests are much fairer and more accurate measures of IQ.

I took one of their preliminary home tests (to be done under exam
conditions) when I was about 13 or 14 and that showed an IQ enough to
offer me the opportunity to take the formal test for membership. However
there were no test centres on the island on which I lived so it all fell
by the wayside and got forgotten. Actually I'd like to take the test
again because I'm convinced I'm getting dumber as I get older :-p

> But who cares, I already know im intellegent and good at logic.

Your intelligence is proven but you must be careful about how you form
logic and be sure that your premises are sound before drawing
conclusions. You must also be aware of forming circular references,
particularly because your posts are long and detailed and it is not
uncommon to forget how your earlier assertions were made. There is a
good FAQ out there about constructing a logical argument
http://polyticks.com/home/LetLexi/fallacy.htm which is worth a read. I
think it originated in alt.atheism and is slanted that way but don't let
that put you off if you're one of them godly sorts.

Hehe... at least you are honest on this one.. your IQ tests were
online ones. Let me clue you in.. those online IQ tests are not real
IQ tests. They are just simulated IQ tests... and they usually give
very high scores to make the person taking the "test" feel good.

One of the most key elements about being truly intelligent is knowing
when you are right and when you are wrong. That way.. when I am
unsure about something.. I go check on it. If I don't know
something.. I keep my trap shut. You on the other hand run your mouth
even when you have no idea what you are saying.

You should try keeping your silly ideas to yourself.

No surprise they are on line tests. They are retard tests, no wonder
you think you did so well.

Are you ever going to leave your mommie's basement?
