If this is the woman I know, the microkeratome sliced way too deep and
the fluid in her eye started gushing out while the laser was zapping.
The doctor became so upset that the technician had to try to piece her
cornea back together. She developed very severe ectasia and last I
heard, was myopic to the tune of -22 diopters. She needs a cornea
transplant. That was the first eye, and she never had the second eye
done. Huge lawsuit and a lot of sordid details about the doctor came
out of it.
