If you need something more recent, and specifically dealing with LASIK,
then here's a study from 2004:

"CONCLUSIONS. Conventional LASIK significantly increases ocular
higher-order aberrations, which compromise the postoperative contrast
sensitivity function. "

Are you trying to be argumentative, or are just not understanding that
conventional LASIK produces statistically significant loss of contrast
sensitivity? Whether a patient can tolerate that loss is an entirely
different subject.
