| I had intralase acuvu 4 days ago, i think my vision is getting blurrier
rather than clearing up. I use plenty of preservative free drops, steroid
drops and antibotic drops. How long does it take to actually "see" clearly
again? I appreciate any encouragement ou can give....I'm nervous

| Hi Beckie,
If you are worried, please contact your surgeon's office and ask to be
seen right away. No one can tell you over the internet whether you
need to be concerned or not.
| |
|
| hopefully your vision clears once you no longer need your regime of
eyedrops. Maybe you have a residual pescription? Time will tell

| I'm a little confused on your terminology. Intralase is a laser
commonly used to create a Lasik flap. Acuvu(e) is a contact lens. I
assume what you had was IntraLasik. Lasik surgery with a flap created
by laser, rather than by a metal blade.
Any rapid degradation in your vision should be reported to your
surgeon. If you are using an optometrist to comanage your care, notify
both your optometrist and your surgeon.
What you are experiencing may be the normal healing process, but may
also be something more problematic. It may be best to relieve your
anxiety and visit your surgeon tomorrow. Ask them to squeeze you in
for an exam. Then you will know for sure.

| I did in fact give the wrong name of my proceedure, what I had was "custom
vu intralase"
I read somewhere about a Dr. that formulated a special eye drop for lasik
patients, it is suppose to really make a difference in post op care. Has
anyone heard of this?

Custom Vue is the trade name for wavefront-guided ablation with the
AMO/Visx S4 excimer laser. The flap was created with the Intralase
femtosecond laser. You has wavefront-guided IntraLasik, aka Custom
IntraLasik.

You may be referring to Dr. Holly's Dwelle, Dakrina, and NutraTear.
They are available commercially only through the Internet at
http://www.dryeyezone.com/ HOWEVER they contain preservatives. At this
point in time you should avoid anything with preservatives.
There are many different kinds of eye drops out there by many
manufacturers with slightly different formulas. Select what is
preservative-free and provides the most relief. This will be
determined only though trial and error.

Hi Beckie,
Did you have a next-day followup?
Typically you are back at the optomotrist/ophthalmologist the very next
day, and again 7 days later. Have you had any followup yet?
