The Crystalens certainly works very well for some people. There is a
better alternative called Restor now.
This FDA approval is a bit comical. Surgeons don't need to wait for
FDA approval before performing a procedure or offering lenses such as
the Crystalens. The FDA is so slow and incompetent that their only
real power lies in what they BAN. In fact.. I suspect they
intentionally delay approving things so that they can study a few
years of results on the human guinea pigs that have these things done
pre-approval.
Medicare isn't paying a dime for those lenses... so FDA approval
doesn't mean much.
