Ya'll remember him, the fella who did all the research, asked all the
questions, and promised to report back his results.

I can only surmise he never returned because of all the crap that is posted
here. It's probably not worth his time to weed through all the name calling,
know it all opinions, and just plain old trash.

Of course if he did post follow ups, I sure as heck can't find it amongst
all the garbage here.

Maybe some people were telling him not to get lasik and he did anyway
and got a bad result. He could be dealing with his own lasik after
math?

He is probably seeing 20/20 and can't be bothered telling wankers like
you who will tell him he can't really see well and is one of 35% that
will have complications.

If I had LASIK with a poor result I'd be posting here just to warn
people. If I had LASIK with a good result I would have no reason to
post to this or any other LASIK board. The last thing victims want is
to hear success stories.

well we can just make assumptions now. Maybe he sees so bad he cant
even see to read? Maybe hes finally free of myopia and no longer wants
to bother associating with us myopes

What a pill you are. Why on earth would anybody assume that? It's
much more likely that he got hit by lightning.
What really happened is probably that he realized this newsgroup is a
waste of time for getting useful information.

There is no way to make a myope a non-myope. The best that can be
done is to change the curvature of the cornea with LASIK so that the
light is focused on the retina at the back of the eye.

I would advise you to never have LASIK and run into the walls and
squint. Get yourself a nice thick pair of glasses.
I would advise everyone else to do the opposite.

Most people consider lasik as a means of permaent removal of myopia. It
cant change the axial length of your eyes, but it flattens your cornea
to compenstate for the symptoms of myopia. You are still physically
myopic but asymptomic and your new vision is considered your UCVA.

I neither run into walla nor squint. My glasses arent half thick at
all.
