No problem, this is fine. Do you remember your 20/xxx before lasik? Was
your UCVA measured? Do you believe you could have been around -3
perhaps?

Then whats not to say those who regress after lasik should just do NVI
than get enhancements? If its pseudomyopia, youll just end up hyperopic
and when you can no longer accomodate well, youll need bifocals.

The monitary costs pale in comparsion to the cost of risks. Something
we agree on.

You are the one with experience so I cant argue much. From the sounds
of it, its less a hassle than glasses and im fine with this. Even if im
not happy with orthoK, I have glasses to "fall back" on. I guess the
fact you hate glasses a hundred times more than me has played into your
decision why you risked lasik and why in my opinion I think people are
crazy to risk lasik.

I use my eyes for near 80% of the time and for distance 20% of the
time. Therefore it is logical to me that its a very bad tradeoff and is
why I prefer an undercorrection even with orthoK as this will achieve
the greatest reduction in glasses dependency. Not only that, my
distance vision will be to the point I can go without distance glasses
much of the time as well. So overall im looking at 90-95% reduced
glasses *without* needing readers nor straining to see something up
close. I guess my lifestyle is different than yours.

Took me one minute to find them. I have a high IQ(sorry Serebel) and by
memory, I could easily search out your posts. I remember your poking
your eye with the glasses frame was the final straw that broke the
proverbal camels back. Im sure alot went thru your mind at that time.
You just didnt care anymore and lasik begin to look good and you were
prepared to deal with whatever lasik gives you rather than countinue
wearing glasses. I hope you dont hate reading glasses as much when the
time comes. I hate readers much more than distance and it is the grace
of my myopia that I can take my glasses off to read. I will retain
between -1 and -2 with orthoK(doubt a full correction is possible
anyway and I dont care. Ragnar thinks orthoK isnt for me but ive told
him I dont care for a full correction!) -1 is a nonissue and -2 is
hardly a big deal. I dont drive much but I read everyday.
