You should be advised that you may have to accept a gag clause in a
LASIK/corneal refractive surgery malpractice settlement that requires
you to promise that you do not discuss the case or your doctor.
Releasing copies of your court documents to another patient BEFORE you
settle will allow you to have you cake and eat it too... you can expose
your doctor's incompetence on the internet and not violate your gag
clause - because you sent the information before you settled and
someone ELSE published it.

Remaining silent about a bad LASIK outcome allows others to be
damaged... prospective patients don't hear about the refractive
surgery injuries that are happening all around them. Most of the worst
LASIK malpractice cases have settled with a gag clause... and this
allows the doctors' mistakes magically 'disappear'. I prefer that
they follow them for the rest of their careers. The internet can help
ensure that they do.

Please consider sending copies of your lawsuit AND the depositions by
expert witnesses for the surgeon to several PATIENT-run websites. They
can hold on to them for you until your case is finished, then expose
them to the world.

What is this garbage you are posting?
Nobody made an inquiry about this... yet you are offering your garbage
response to a questin that wasn't asked.

Furthermore... there is virtually never a reason for a lasik lawsuit,
and even where there is, the chances of winning are just about zero.
That goes for just about all surgery. Winning a malpractice suit is
about as likely as winning some lotteries.
Not one person who has ever posted to this newsgroup has won a case
involving lasik. But then again.. not a whole lot of people have a
reason to have a lasik lawsuit. When they do, it is virtually always
the result of some gross incompetence on the part of the surgeon due
to bad policies such as they practice at LVI.
Sadly... LVI is responsible for the lion's share of all complications,
yet they get away with it!

It was a public service announcement because of private conversations
about ongoing lawsuits.

Every LASIK surgery is malpractice.

This is a good example of what a severely biased and incorrect website
the lasik report is.

Is this how you prepare for Halloween? "Private conversations", what
else can you dream up?

If every lasik surgery is malpractice, why did you have it, you idiot?
