Gary,

The Artisan in the UK is the same as the Verisyse in the US, however I
believe that the Artisan is available in toric for astigmatism
correction in the UK.

At 45 you probably are very reliant on reading glasses. If you are,
you should take a very serious look at RLE. The only (and I really
mean only) reason to use a P-IOL is if you have the ability to change
focus and see near objects. If you need reading glasses all the time,
you may be better served with RLE, however it has its own set of risks
that your doctor will need to evaluate.
