No, this is not about Alvin Lee. Of course most people are saying
'Alvin who?'.
It was June of 1995 when I had lasik, so I would say that I am getting
into the long term results territory. I had a presciption of -4 with -2
astigmatism. I have not needed glasses since then and my eyesight has
remained completely stable. Ten years ago there was not much
information about lasik, so I pretty much went into it blind, so to
speak. RK was still the eye surgery of the time. I just happened to
see an add in the paper and decided to do it. Fortunately it worked out
OK for me, but I have never recommeneded to anyone and don't even
mention it unless asked. I did accomplish my main goal, I can wear any
sunglasses I want. It pays to have lofty goals.

Congratulations on achieving the outcome you wanted. After ten years
of improvement in techniques and technology and all the hype about
today's "supervision", it is nice to hear from someone who had surgery
in the early days with a good result.

I'll admit that I'm old enough to know Ten Years After, although I
never was able to see them in concert.

That "supervision" comment is interesting.
If you do a google on "supervision" you don't come up with LASIK, you
come up with an SE optometrist promising super vision with his contact
lenses. Bill Berke OD

Great news from early on in lasik. I wonder how the doom and gloomers
are going to deal with your success.

Glenn, you missed some great concerts. (Ten Years After)
