Unfocused vision is normal for any eyes after waking up in the
morning. LASIK has nothing to do with it.
And the plugs you speak of, if used, are used for the first 3 months
after surgery, not permanently. Many people simply have dry eyes. I
think the number is 10% and increases with age. Again, that is not
lasik induced. In those cases, people might want to try a 3 month
trial of Restasis. The caution about Restasis is that it has no
effect on the temporary few months of dryness related to the increased
metabolic rate in the healing and nerves in LASIKed eyes. Restasis
affects tear production mechanisms completely unrelated to the LASIK
procedure.
