Here's who should also go to jail

| Kawesch's problems are due to the fact that he is a crook. He is a
skilled and effective surgeon though.
We have had presidents who are liars, crooks, adulterers, and idiots
(Nixon, Clinton, Bush).
Don't forget Martha Stewart and her crooked dealings. I would never
invest money with her, but I'd still love to eat her cookies. She can
cook a meal for me anytime she wants.
I heard a story once about some LASIK malcontent that blackmailed an
insurance company out of $250,000 for ridiculous reasons - and she
would never get a dime under the same circumstances today.
That same crook got in trouble with her neighbors for stealing a chunk
of their property by shifting the line...
The words liar, malcontent, hypocrite, crook, delusional, psycho all
add up to spell Keller.

| You are quite the @sshole Ragweed. You would be exactly the kind of
employee one would find in Kawesch's office.
I am a victim of "Doctor" Kawesch. He is not an effective and skilled
surgeon. He is, as you say, a crook. He also regularly violated the
Hippocratic Oath.
Example: using a Nidek laser over a VISX laser for the sole reason that
he did not have to pay royalties to Nidek. This made him an extra $200
or so per surgery or offset revenue loss due to price-closing. His
salespeople would price-close patients, and when "Doctor" Kawesch saw
the price was discounted, he automatically used the Nidek to make up
for the lost revenue. This is a known fact that is discussed by opths,
opts and patients down here in San Diego. The Nidek's performance and
outcome profile is substantially inferior to the VISX. Slick. $hitty
but slick.
Yep, I'm still pissed off. I'm not the only one. I hope he gets
butt-rammed and biatched till jizz comes out of his ears.

| Aha! even though you are a malcontent, you made an excellent point
here. And an important one.
Dr. K does know what he is doing, HOWEVER, it seems that his greed has
affected his surgical work. The NIDEK trick you mention below is a
classic scheme used by places whose prime interest is $$$ not your
eyes.
Here's two very quick questions to ask a LASIK provider. If they
answer yes to either, go someplace else. First, do they do BOTOX
there? Second, do they have a NIDEK laser system?
Those two factors are the classic tip-offs of an unscrupulous
provider.
And while on the topic.. I'd avoid anyplace with LADARVISION also.
Your posts alternate from being insightful to asinine. How about
getting on your soapbox about how bad the Nidek system is? That would
be a useful topic. The problem with it that nobody is going to argue
that the Nidek system is bad, so you probably won't get many
responses.
The VISX system is a fine system... however.. in the hands of a
discount lasik mill such as LVI, even that system can be a problem.
The characteristics of a laser system change slightly after every
procedure. This is due to the physics involves with a laser. The
surgeon is supposed to test the laser daily (if not more often) to
make sure that everything is functioning perfectly before zapping your
eyes. They can make adjustments to keep the laser working perfectly
if they track the results.
At LVI, they do not track the results at all - which is criminal in my
opinion.. in fact.. it may very well be illegal to not track the
results. Glenn would know about that. Roughly one year ago, LVI kept
using their VISX laser system that they KNEW had a problem. Since it
wasn't due for maintenance, they didn't feel like paying to have it
serviced. They knowingly kept doing procedures with it OR using their
NIDEK system if the VISX system if the surgeon was too nervous about
playing russian roulette with the faulty VISX unit. They kept using
that laser until it would not function anymore. Then they had
patients taking trips over 100 miles away to the next closest LVI
lasik mill to have their surgery done.
As a clincher, some of the patients refused to take the 100 mile trip
to the other center... and the director of the LVI center had the
audacity to get enraged at the patients for not "co-operating". That
was the same buffoon that said I had 10mm pupils and was going to
stick IOLs in (which is equivalent to having cataract surgery except
your natural lens is still good).
