Author Comedienne Kathy Griffin is a malcontent

I am surprised that nobody bothered to look up Kathy Griffin's
history. She is an "odd" looking comedienne which is good for
comics. Apparently she has some mental problems about her appearance.
She is definitely obsessive.
Here are three serperate issues about Kathy Griffin:

PART ONE:
"I didn't develop this condition until after my third LASIK
procedure on my right eye."[vbcol=seagreen]

=======================================
Kathy already a slim size 4 opted for liposuction. In 1999, she had
fat removed from her inner and outer thighs and above her knees. "I
thought if I had some lipo," jokes Kathy, "I'd turn into one of the
Friends."[vbcol=seagreen]

The supposedly simple surgery had severe near-fatal complications. Six
months later, Kathy went public saying the liposuction didn't work and
that she was swearing off plastic surgery.[vbcol=seagreen]

Four years later, Kathy Griffin changed her mind about plastic
surgery.[vbcol=seagreen]
This time around, she's had 10 different procedures:
nose job,
brow lift,
Botox,
LASIK eye surgery,
veneers,
chemical hair straightening,
micro dermabrasion,
chemical skin peel,
facial resurfacing
and liposuction again!
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^[vbcol=seagreen]

Although she doesn't "mind a little Botox now and then," Kathy says
she's staying away from liposuction. "I have new eyebrows, new eyes,
new skin, new teeth... I'm working on the new personality."[vbcol=seagreen]
==================================================

During one of Steve's show, comedienne Kathy Griffin, who has known
Steve for 15 years, makes a surprise visit to tell Steve that he is
going to be on the Extreme Makeover™ television series.
Steve's makeover included:

Rhinoplasty
Face lift
Upper eyelid lift
Chin implant
Chin liposuction
Strabismus surgery (eye muscle surgery for crossed eyes)
LASIK eye surgery
Laser hair removal
Fotofacial
Milia extractions (deep pore cleansing)
Gingival re-contouring
Porcelain veneers
Zoom whitening

nobody[vbcol=seagreen]

Maybe you should be asking why her doctor decided to perform 3
procedures!

Clever that you clipped off the rest of the article.

She probably had 3 surgeries (she's going for #4 later this month)
because she's nuts. Why did she have 10 surgeries from head to toe
including liposuction 4 years after liposuction nearly killed her?
And why does a size 4 person have liposuctions?

And for that matter, why did you have 9 (or 10?) surgeries to your
eye? Is there a listing in the Guiness Book for most eye surgeries?
You could share a page in the Guiness Book with Dr. Rothman.

According to her web page, her Dr. was Dr. Maloney in L.A.

I think/thought he was one of the best..

There is a lot of factors to consider with a surgeon. Some of them
are:
knowlege
skill
care & dedication
honesty
his equipment
wisdom

From what I know of Dr. Maloney, he excels in all of those things
except wisdom. There is no procedure he won't do and no patient he
won't treat.

In the Kathy Griffin case, I think the overwhelming issue is that
Kathy Griffin is a mentally unstable malcontent. I don't think
anybody disputes that. She is a great comedian. But then, great
comedians tend to be mentally unstable.

What I posted is all the article I saw--I didn't know there was more.
Regardless, why is it that you always have to judge any patient with
LASIK complications, as though they did something to deserve them?

You know why I had the surgeries. There's nothing like being
desperate to see again to motivate a person to seek hope and a cure.

If Kathy Griffin is nuts, it's because having your vision damaged by
LASIK will drive a person there. If the epithelial ingrowth is
obscuring her vision, it needs to be removed.

Kathy Griffin's is nuts. Her opinions are less than useless.
I think her biggest problem is that she was a size 4.. had liposuction
done which was nearly fatal, swore she would never have more plastic
surgery, then 4 years later had TEN more surgeries including more
liposuction!

And there is no good reason for anybody to have 10 surgeries on one
eye.

I hope people take note of the fact that nearly all the people that
complain about LASIK are nutcases.

Er, Sandy, why would you opt to have nine surgeries? Who could take any
advise from an idiot as you. Seems like you and Griffin have a lot in
common.
