Hello,

I have a mild nearsightedness (-2.75 in both eyes). I'm currently
scheduled for a LASIK procedure on 17 March 2005 in Washington DC.

I have been reading a lot (of course) on the subject, and it has come
to my attention that LASEK might be a better solution for my situation
than LASIK, due to the low correction needed and the lower
intrusiveness of the procedure.

Has anyone here ever had LASEK performed on them? Were you happy with
the results? Were there any complications?

I am excited at the thought of improving my vision and (possibly)
reducing/eliminating my need for contacts/glasses, but I have read so
much "gloom and doom" (as one poster put it), that it has me second
guessing myself a little. I'm not looking for positive affirmation of
any decision, just informed opinions on what people have experienced.

Thank you for reading.
