ok.. right eye problem I was complaining about earlier is getting
better ever day.. things are really starting to look sharp, glare at
night is going down.. no complaints..
except, I woke up this morning and my left eye hurts.. all over.. like
a baseball hit it.. even hurts when I put lube drops in.. not a
sting.. but a bruised feeling..
going to sleep tonight, see if it goes away.. but was wondering if
this could be a sign of high inter-ocular pressure.. or can you even
detect that yourself?

| Your healing seems to be progressing faster than normal.
The pain in the left eye is probably an anisometropia effect.. which
means that one eye is doing more work than it's used to. That problem
will fade rapidly. Avoid bright lights and reading for 2 weeks.
It's much like getting a new pair of glasses when the Rx is a big
change from previous glasses. It's like your eyes need to learn how
to adjust to depth and movement all over again.
If it's a big problem... try closing your eyes for a few minutes every
couple of hours.

God help us. "Doctor Ragnar" is now diagnosing over the internet.
The bottom line is that your eye should not be painful. It could be a
corneal erosion from rubbing your eye in your sleep, it could be
epithelial ingrowth under the flap, it could be a spike in your
pressure, and even more.
Unilateral pain is not "normal healing." Get looked at today by your
surgeon.

| We are all diagnosing over the Internet.
I concur that a sudden onset of pain is not normal and should be
evaluated. The doctor may find noting alarming, but you should give
the doctor a chance to determine if there is something serious.

| God help us, Minarik is diagnosing over the internet. Be careful when
he says you have post traumatic stress syndrome, that's his favorite
screed.

| in your dreams.. his pain is gone already. as Freud once said..
"sometimes a cigar is just a cigar"
The symptoms he gave did not mention anything that would apply to
those other gloom and doom scenarios you would like to scare him with.

| yes... if someone came into Minarik's office who said they spent 5
years as a POW in Vietnam's Hanoi Hilton.. and they had LASIK done...
Minarik would say... "aha! you have post traumatic stress syndrome
due to LASIK"
Seriously though.. with the scare tactics used by people like him.. he
can induce fear into people. His goal is to scare them just enough
to get him in his office with their wallets open so he can perform a
currencyectomy.
