| Anyone have any input concerning the Lasik Plus vision centers? Any info
about either the VISX Star 54 or the Bausch & Lomb Flying Spot Technology?
I'm just curious to know if anyone has input, good or bad. I had mine done
about six weeks ago and I'm having a problem with light sensitivity and also
my eyes get tired quickly.
Thanks

| Light sensitivity tends to be related to corneal edema (swelling) and
sometimes increased intraocular pressure (IOP). Edema can be caused
by many things, but probably not directly related to the excimer laser
used. High IOP may be related to steroids normally provided after
surgery.
Check with your doctor about the sensitivity to verify that your IOP
is normal, your optic disk looks fine, and to verify if you have an
abrasion or other problem that is causing edema.

Both are classic symptoms of dry eye (though there are other causes as
well). Have you been using artificial tear supplements regularly as
directed? If so, which?
Often in the first few months you have no sensation of dryness or
scratchy painful eyes, because of the dennervation involved in the
LASIK process. It's very important to keep up artificial tear usage
even if you don't feel like you need them. Be aware also that reading,
computer use and watching TV reduce your blink rate greatly, so if your
eyes are more vulnerable due to dryness they may quickly tire with any
of these activities. Just being aware and trying to blink more
frequently can help.
Probably temporary problem. But if not, more info on dry eye at:

| Jay,
As Glenn and Rebecca stated, these should be only tempory. As you are
only six weeks out, your eyes will tire easily. This will take several
months to resolve. As long as you follow your post op regimen it will
resolve nicely for you.

| Thanks to all who responded. Your answers are greatly appreciated. I have
an appointment tomorrow and will ask the doctor about these things. Once
again, thank you.
