My LASIK Journey #2

| I had my consultation on Tuesday and it wasn’t bad. The wait was a bit
much, but I brought my laptop and just worked the whole time. I figure
that’s the best way to solve any wait problem. I went to a doctor that a
good friend of mine recommended, and he seems really good. I took my “50
tough questions” with me and he passes the test. I’d been researching this
doctor for a while now, and after meeting with him I am convinced. I
scheduled my surgery for next Friday.
I had a question for Glenn:
I noticed in the 50 questions page there was a link to report a bad
doctor, but what about reporting a good doctor?
Bryce, thanks again for that list of questions. I hadn’t thought of a lot
of those questions and it really helped.
I’m getting the IntraLASIK along with the VISX Wavefront Custom LASIK.
I’ve read some of the posts regarding the IntraLASIK, and I believe it to
be the safest way to cut the flap. I’ve read reports of the microkeratome
leaving the track and cutting irregular flaps.

Good luck heat451. Let us know how it goes!

| It sounds like you are doing your homework and are going in as informed
as one could reasonably expect.
We do hear about the good doctors, but this tends to be more behind the
scenes and the private comments of patients. While we encourage this,
but we believe it is much more important to avoid the bad doctors than
to glorify the good ones.
